Local blood and bone marrow drive scheduled for March 21

The Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a Grass Valley/Nevada City community blood and bone marrow drive March 21.

The drive, which is being held in memory of Morgan Holtrop, the Rough and Ready toddler who died in December after contracting leukemia, is at the Grass Valley United Methodist Church, 236 S. Church Street in Grass Valley.

The event is from noon to 6 p.m. Those wishing to participate are asked to bring photo identification and to drink plenty of fluids prior to attending the drive.
