Liberal politicians driving business, retirees away

The taxation policies and the anti-business climate under Gray Davis can now be honored with another “win” in the closing of the Hewlett Packard Roseville facility that will cost the area some 500 skilled positions. 

Rather than endure the business-killing regulatory and taxation environment that the liberal politicians are creating here in California, HP has decided it’s easier to switch than fight and is moving its server manufacturing to Houston, Texas. Almost as recent was the decision for Buck Knives to bail out of California. 



It will be interesting to see just how bad the economy of California will have to get before the people wake up and elect some business friendly leaders in Sacramento. As the father of a 5-year-old who will grow up to face grim job prospects in California, I now get to plan for the probability of having to retire out of state just to be near my grandchildren.
