Which is the real do nothing Congress?

You often hear, “It’s a do nothing Congress,” or that “Republicans are the party of No.” When you vote in this election, be aware of what’s really going on in our United States Congress.

Did you know that our Republican-led House of Representatives has passed 356 bills that are languishing in the Senate on Harry Reid’s desk? He refuses to bring any of them to the Senate floor for debate or vote.

Ninety-eight percent of the bills passed by the House received bipartisan support. Forty of those bills are related to job creation, growth and job retention. Another bill would protect Americans from fraudulent government abuse, and others would improve management of our national forest land to reduce dangerous wildfires.

Our Nevada County elected Republican congressmen have been busy representing us in Washington, D.C. Doug LaMalfa and Tom McClintock have strongly supported this bipartisan effort.

So don’t blame Congress, blame the Democrat Senate led by Harry Reid who will not allow these bills to come to the floor for a vote. It’s really the “Do Nothing Democrat Senate” that is holding up jobs, the economy, and the well-being of our country. It’s time to fire Harry Reid.
