Where’s there’s smoke, there are …. good Samaritans

I would just like to thank all of those who responded to the fire on Colfax Highway on Saturday, Aug. 30, including the Peardale Fire Dept., Grass Valley, Chicago Park and all other fire departments, including Nevada, Placer and Yuba Cal-Fire.

Also, thank you to all the ground crews that put so much hard work and effort into protecting the surrounding homes. Amazing job, all of you! I would also like to thank all the neighbors and random strangers who assisted and especially those who watched over my dog during the ordeal.

Thank you. What a great community we have!
