Washington GOP out of touch with Americans

Republican politicians are out of touch with the rest of Americans. Ninety percent of Americans want background checks on guns and yet 90 percent of Republican senators voted against, scuttled the most far-reaching gun control legislation in two decades, rejecting tighter background checks and a ban on assault weapons. Who is paying the Republican’s salaries — the U.S. government or the NRA? Who are the Republicans working for — the American people or the gun industry? Do Republicans and the NRA care about the enormous suffering guns cause in America? And is it fair to say that the blood of countless more victims killed by guns in the future will be on the hands of the Republican Party?
