Wal-Mart? Really?

I am stunned by the letter from Camille Muir in the Oct. 24 edition of The Union.

She would rather waste several hours and a lot of gas to buy yarn at Wal-Mart, a place that for many reasons (not all of them good) obviously has “cheap” prices,” than to support a local business in our lovely community here in Grass Valley.

It sounds like she would be happier living in Yuba City if she doesn’t appreciate the many advantages of living here (I have lived “down the hill” and love living here). A strange view of “economy”!
