Tice-Raskin – a view from the counsel table

I am a Nevada County lawyer. I first appeared in Court here in 1977. I have been a lawyer for 40 years — much of that time spent at counsel tables in courtrooms. I practiced nearly three decades in large firms in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta, Ga. I have argued in courtrooms and before regulatory authorities throughout our state, in many other U.S. jurisdictions, and in many E.U. capitals. I have seen every judicial level from Justice Courts in the rural South to the U.S. Supreme Court.

At the end of the day, clients, not lawyers, are most affected by the quality of local courts. This county is fortunate to have strong, thoughtful judges. Our retiring judge will be missed. I believe Tice-Raskin is the most qualified candidate to continue the county’s tradition of a very high quality judiciary.

Experience tells me that integrity, fairness, courtesy, work ethic, experience, knowledge, training and the courage to make and articulate tough decisions are the hallmarks of fine judges. Rob Tice-Raskin would earn an “A” for each of these qualities. That is why I will vote for him for Superior Court Judge.
