Supervisor’s computer could have been sabotaged

The news article in the link at the end of this paragraph may be of interest to those following the Grass Valley City Council election. The AP article, published in 2009, is pertinent to what can happen to people who are targeted for removal from office or position: It makes clear there are viruses that download child porn as an act of sabotage on one’s character.

I have no way of knowing if this is what happened to Terry Lamphier, but it is worth considering. Knowing what I know of Terry, it is inconceivable to me that the accusation has any merit.

On Oct. 29, Grass Valley’s The Union newspaper published an unproven accusation against a local candidate many of us have respected and supported for years. No charges had been filed, and yet a week in front of the Nov. 4 election, this accusation, delivered via an anonymous letter, became headline news in The Union for several days. Outrageous character assassination with no regard to due process. It matters not whether the person is guilty or innocent, accusations like this one stick in the public mind.
