State legislators out of touch

The Harvey Milk Day that was celebrated May 22 is one of the reasons some parents took their children out of public schools and home-schooled them instead. They planned to boycott this event because they believe that Milk was no “role model” for schoolchildren.

These parents are protesting the indoctrination of their children to accept homosexuality, which they, the parents, consider immoral and unhealthy. AB 1266 (Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco) was passed by the California State Assembly May 14. This bill will force schools to comply with laws that prohibit discrimination against transgender students (a transgender boy has a neurotic fixation that he is a girl).

A similar bill, AB 1121, would make it easier for transgender people to change the name and gender listed on their birth certificate. The majority of California legislators are completely out of touch with the public at large. They ignore major problems such as unemployment, loss of industries, illegal immigration, deficits and over-taxation. Their sexist ideology has earned us a loss of respect by other states.
