Roger Hager: Too bad for locals

In the “Prospector” March 28 there was a piece “defending the integrity of the Sierra.” It covers the locals attempt to save Squaw Valley from ruin by over development. I applaud their efforts.

If only they could have spent some of that effort to save Loma Rica Ranch. It appears the developer finally won. Too bad for the locals. The developer talks about great walking trails. What are the walkers to observe from their trek? Not the open space, as it will be gone.

Perhaps a stroll through the backyards of the new $500,000 homes, which this area desperately needs.
