Robin Wood: Gotta love small towns

On April 25, Robbie from Nevada City Dokimo’s, called to tell me that my husband had picked up his prescription, but had forgotten a manila envelope on their counter.

Knowing my husband was planning on mailing the envelope at Nevada City SPD, I thanked Robbie and called SPD.

Dave at SPD paged my husband several times, with no response. Dave told me he’d go to Dokimo’s, pick up the envelope, and mail it himself. He called back a few minutes later, to tell me he put the $1.99 postage owed on our envelope and mailed it, and that we could pay the next time we came in. I thanked him, saying only at SPD could we expect this kind of service.

A short while later, my husband returned home from SPD, saying Dave had caught up with him, told him what he did, collected the $1.99, and left my husband with a smile.

Thank you Robbie and Dave. This is just one of the perks of living in a small town.
