Paul Pease: Remembering Pastor Floyd

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Pastor Samuel D. Floyd, who recently passed away.

One of my fondest memories of the pastor was when he prayed with me and my brother after my dad’s passing in February of 1992. He then presided at my dad’s funeral. The next time I saw him was after I had a hip replacement at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in 1996. It was a lonely time and he was the only one who came to visit me.

In January of 1997, I started going to his Abundant Life Church, gave my life to God and was baptized. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a celebration of life for retired Pastor Floyd at Twin Cities Church, 11726 Rough and Ready Highway in Grass Valley. Thanks for the memories, Pastor Floyd, and glory be to God in Heaven and peace and glory to your family and friends.
