Not a pretty picture in Ferguson

A young black man was shot and killed by a white cop in Ferguson, Mo. Is Ferguson a picture of remnants of white racist America where the community is 70 percent black controlled by a white power structure?

Only three of 53 police officers are black and every day we see pictures in the news of white police armed to the teeth in military garb and sharpshooters on rooftops; this is not a war zone, it’s a city just like yours and mine. And Ferguson has an arrogant white Republican mayor, James Knowles, who struts his stuff. Not a pretty picture.

Is there any wonder that this happened and has grabbed so much attention?
