Norm Sauer: Worthy Debate—Really?

Heidi Hall, an EPA bureaucrat, and Michael E. Mann, a self-professed scientist of MMGW, after attacking my documented articles and this newspaper for publishing them, claim 97 percent of scientists agree in MMGW, and the only worthy debate is how to prevent catastrophic results therefrom. “Climategate” emails, truth, and facts belie their arguments.

Fact: Mann’s hockey stick is shattered by no global warming over the last 18 years and 6 months. See: http://www.climatedepot.com/2015/06/03global-warming-standstillpause-increases-to-a-new-record-length-18-years-6-months/.

Fact: the claimed 97 percent of publishing scientists that agree in MMGW is hogwash. See: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/425232/climate-change-no-its-not-97-percent-consensus-ian-tuttle.

Fact: look at how California with the worst roads and schools spends cap and trade revenues. See: http://www.mercurynews.com/opinion/ci_28962624/dan-walters-how-should-state-spend-cap-and

It seems Hall and Mann, ensconced in and with the federal government, are de-growthers who seek to eliminate carbon sources of energy and redistribute wealth according to terms they consider equitable with a strong utopian dimension. Such statists are reputed to seek a new world order that would de-industrialize advanced economies, destroy modernity, and turn plenty into scarcity. They ridicule and dismiss those challenging their science as “deniers” and “flat-earthers.”

Review the links and get the facts. Don’t let these big government-types exploit us or our young people to plunder our future.

Sharon Seck: Kudos to Yuba Docs

|

I cannot say enough good things about Yuba Docs, our urgent care facility in Grass Valley. Saturday about noon, a close relative had a close encounter with a chainsaw resulting in a pretty deep-looking gash…
