More critical thinking with endorsements, please

Politics, at its best, is a slimy endeavor.

I’ve read all the endorsements for Mr. Tice-Raskin with some amusement except for Ms. Melody Lane’s endorsement. She stated that he is particularly qualified because he is a “family man.” As a woman, she ought to know that there are many reasons why a female might not have a family.

She states, “he is not pretending to be connected to the community.” So, with this same convoluted thinking, if a woman has not had breast cancer does this disqualify her from being a surgeon? Does this mean she is not part of the surgical or health care community? What a ridiculous statement by Ms. Lane.

As a resident of Nevada City, I would have hoped the level of critical thinking would be more elevated. I’m sorely disappointed that a County Supervisor would express such low-level tripe.
