Mike Brockman: Complaining gets us nowhere

I came across a saying by Eldridge Cleaver, ”If I am not part of the solution, I am part of the problem,” and thought, “How true that is.”

When my mind is complaining about government or the power of big money or pro-life people or pro-choice people, my thoughts are lending themselves to a picture that life doesn’t work. And, of course, by sharing my negative thoughts, I am helping to create more of what I don’t want and am part of the problem.

If you get the drift of this and are like me, then you see that every time we open our mouths and say something negative, we help to create a world that doesn’t work. So let’s just say that we look for things in our daily lives that work instead of things that don’t and share that information.

Get rid of the “boo-hoo-hooing” and take personal responsibility for our lives. Turn them around and see the positive. I don’t hate to break some of your bubbles, but it has always been up to you and me to do just that. No complaining will ever change reality to something better.
