Merci beaucoup

We would like to give accolades to some of the most generous and hospitable families in our county.

For three weeks, 16 families participated in a cultural exchange program involving French high school students. These families opened their homes and hearts to students here to expand their knowledge of our culture. All of the families displayed remarkable willingness to share their time and resources with their new “son” or “daughter.” As we said our tearful “au revoirs” it was obvious more than just housing took place.

We want to thank all of our World Exchange families for the hospitality shown to these young men and women. You made it so rewarding for all of us. In addition, we would like to thank The Union, Rotary Clubs of Nevada County, Nevada Union, Bear River high schools, KNCO, KVMR, St. Patrick and St. Canice churches.

Linda Turner, state director, World Exchange

Mollie Baker, program director, Nevada City
