Melody Raglin: Thanks, Dave’s Auto Repair

I think Dave’s Auto Repair in Nevada City should be renamed “Honest Dave’s Auto Repair Shop.”

I took Dave a vehicle with a need for a new axle. Please think about how many auto shops would have fixed the axle problem, then call me afterwards with a “by the way, the head gasket is blown?” Not Dave.

Evidently his mechanic Gerald opened the hood and smelled something odd. I am a retired RN and fully understand the sense of “smell.” It’s a valid tool. Well, the hood was closed and I got a call right away. I was not charged a penny and I was allowed, ever so kindly, to keep the vehicle there for a few days to figure this out.

No pressure, just kindness and understanding. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the integrity of this shop. Thank you Dave, thank you very much.
