Ms. Nikko Wu is another victim of California’s punitive business tax, which is driving so many business owners out of the state.

Wu had a dream when she purchased the monstrous elephant, the Stonehouse located in Nevada City. Seems that her dream has turned into a nightmare, thanks to bureaucracy.

Historic buildings like the Stonehouse are the heart and soul of Nevada City. Without the people like Nikko Wu who take the risk of buying and trying to keep up old dilapidated buildings, where will Nevada City be?
