LaMalfa sent to Washington to make things better — what happened?

Congressman LaMalfa is joining Obama-hating Republicans in trying once again (try 47?) to repeal or defund or delay Obamacare — a system that has worked for years in Massachusetts and now seems to already be lowering Californian’s health care premiums (New York State’s premiums have dropped by 50 percent!).

These are the same naysayers that have been on the wrong side of history from Hoover’s time — through Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, not to mention the civil rights battles of the ’60s. Rather than work constructively with the Democrats and compromise on legislation, their only seeming concern is to obstruct anything President Obama thinks might be good for the country. Mr. Bernanke and a vast majority of economists say the sequester is a disaster. I know Army reservists — in line for Afghanistan — who have to find their own berthing while they are training to protect us because of the Republican sequester gamesmanship, and the Republican response is threatening to do even worse — hinting at another debt limit debacle.

Please join me in letting Congressman LaMalfa know that he was sent to Washington to make things better, not to just join the party of “no compromises – ever!”
