John Bohnert: What happened to candidates meeting the people?

I wonder if local candidates for office go door-to-door anymore?

I live at Berryhill Apartments in Grass Valley. There are more than 90 apartments here. Only one time in the last 20 years did any local candidate come to my door.

I’ve voted in every election since 1964. I know other apartment residents also vote in elections. Why don’t candidates for local office seek our votes?

Don’t they care about renters? Are we second-class citizens?
