Jo Ann Rebane: A choice between two good candidates

Both Brian Dahle and Kevin Kiley are excellent assemblymen and both are vying for your vote to elect one of them to the State Senate.

Mr. Kiley’s youth and energy may attract you. I however will vote for Brian Dahle. He has more life experience and more firsthand knowledge of the burdens Sacramento’s regulations and taxes impose on businesses and everyday Californians and has worked consistently to roll-back both taxes and regulations. Unlike most legislators, he actually runs a business and has employees.

Dahle is a real farmer with diesel equipment modified to comply with expensive and unproven requirements. He knows intimately the inattention and lack of appreciation Sacramento’s majority has for the north state. Legislation Dahle sponsored diverted $200 million from the bullet train for forest thinning. He also got state funds redirected to provide broadband to underserved, rural counties first.

Brian Dahle opposes the new idea to tax drinking water. Agencies and others who have worked with him (farm bureaus, county supervisors, firefighters, public safety leaders, realtors, Republican leaders) heartily endorse Brian Dahle for California State Senate.
