Jan Stevens: Thank you for the touching tributes

As the father of Chris Stevens, ambassador to Libya killed in Benghazi four years ago, I am writing to express the appreciation of Chris’s family for the sympathy so many of your readers and Nevada County people in general have shown over the past few days. We have been deeply touched by their written and floral tributes.

Chris was born in Grass Valley. He loved visiting his grandparents there, skiing, swimming in the Yuba and hiking. We know he was interested in eventually retiring there and regret he didn’t have the opportunity to meet such wonderful neighbors.
