Insult after injury

It’s not enough that I pay for fire protection and a special local tax to help our fire district, our governor and his friends say I have to pay a third tax for fire protection.

This tax was heaped on us without any local or state vote. Another “Executive Order.”

Adding to the insult the state just mailed to everyone an “advanced notice” that the fire fee would be sent out, a pretty colored notice showing a firefighter using water and a whole sheet of paper with just my name and address. The cost of this has to be a bundle. No wonder our state is almost bankrupt.

I just hope everyone thinks twice about voting for a special tax to bail the governor out in November. Let him and his cronies pay for it.
