Harry Lum: Ken’s great day

My friend, Ken, is an 86-year-old Air Force retiree. I decided to treat him to a day at the AirFest.

I didn’t realize he was fragile until we arrived there. From the time we got there until the time we left, I saw a lot of passionate people at the AirFest. The parking coordinator allowed me to drop Ken off at the front gate. The guests helped Ken walk to the Port-a-potties. A Sheriff deputy came to us to make sure everything was all right. They decided to move the Port-a-potties to a central location after they noticed Ken’s hardship. One of the pilots allowed Ken to sit under his plane for shade. As we were leaving, Ken got to sit in the VIP lounge as I retrieved the car. The Sheriff deputy allowed me to park next to them, so I could walk Ken back to the car. As we were leaving, they helped Ken to the car.

This is a partial list of our day. I wish I knew the names of everyone who helped, however, thanks everyone for showing Ken a great time.
