George Harper: Not working for the benefit of Nevada City

To Nevada City Councilmembers Jennifer Ray and Terri Anderson: Shame, shame on you.

After years of working on and chairing the Nevada City Classic race and getting the Amgen Tour here in Nevada City, you turned Duane Strawser down after his fronting $15,000 for the race.

This race gets international press for Nevada City and brings in untold amounts of money for our great city. It is not fair for him to take money from his own account to pay for this. You are certainly not working for the benefit of Nevada City. I certainly hope the voters remember this when you come up for re-election and vote you out of office.

What, pray tell, have you done for the betterment of Nevada City?
