Freedom at risk

Freedom is eroded when a government initiates and propagates lies to its people. The following is offered in defense of our freedom that many have fought and died for.

For the past eight months, I have suspected our government has been lying to us. Regrettably, my suspicions have been proven true. We now know these lies have come from the highest levels, including the presidency. With these lies, the president has diminished our standing among world leaders and pilfered a measure of our freedom.

For this inexcusable act, Mr. Obama should be impeached.

I realize the proposition of impeachment offends many, particularly those who themselves lie for the sake of self-interest or self-promotion. Albeit difficult to admit, if you fall into this category, and yet you survive. It is probably because friends, family, and co-workers tolerate your tainted principles. If, through complacency, we accept lies from our nation’s president, perhaps we deserve to lose our freedom.
