Elks reach out to local soldier

The recent front page article that The Union shared on our soldier, Brandon Walden, was a great example how our community gets behind a great effort to help a very needy family and a brave soldier who sacrificed so much for our community and our country.

The comps and benefits he gets from the Army will not last very long nor will the funds raised in Penn Valley. His mother with four children who is trying to care for him is also handicapped and unemployed. The local Elks have decided to help. For more see Club News.
