Daniel Guerrero: Chinese New Year’s celebration needs to work out kinks

What a wonderful thing it is to celebrate different cultures in the whitest county in California! I appreciated what CATS and the City of Nevada City did to embrace these kind of events (New Year’s Celebration this weekend); but my only complaint is that I knew that the Group Taiko of Grass Valley (traditional Japanese drumming) directed by Sensei (master) Mitzi Garnett (founder and director) were performing at 1 p.m. in the afternoon; but when I arrived to the festivity; camera ready; I learned they had already performed in a really short time frame!

I also learned that they were rushed in their performance, in addition to being set to perform earlier than originally scheduled. I freely express my disappointment on the organizers of the event.
