Community pitches in for Magnolia choir travel costs

Kudos to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Association for cooking pancakes for the Magnolia Starmakers show choir fundraiser. They fed more than 450 people in four hours and helped raise money to cover travel costs for the Starmakers’ statewide competitions. Kudos to the Pleasant Ridge School District for keeping music programs in the district. Thanks to these businesses that donated to the event: Generations Gym, Gristmill Deli, Holiday Market, Print-It Promotions, Prosperity Lanes, Round Table Pizza, Sierra Cinemas, Starbucks, Subway and Video Library. Thanks to Anne Vaaler, their director, for the long personal hours she devotes to this award-winning program!
