CHP ‘inaction’ at recent motorcycle accident

In a brief article in The Union, the California Highway Patrol public relations department was quick to call attention to its timely “action” in response to the motorcyclist who went down on the freeway.

As one caught in the ensuing traffic jam, attempting to exit Highway 49 at the round-about, what I saw was a CHP cruiser appropriately blocking the entrance to the highway with lights flashing, officer inside doing absolutely nothing while traffic was snarled by motorists attempting to exit the highway and navigate the round-about.

“Action” to me, would seem to have the officer remove his highly salaried posterior from his vehicle and actually do something to improve traffic flow. But hey, what do I know, I am just a humble taxpaying resident who expects public servants to actually serve the public.
