Let’s focus on facts of single-player proposal

If we are going to have a discussion about the benefits of SB-562 the Healthy California Single-Payer Health Care Proposal, can we please use real, as opposed to “alternative” facts?

The opponents of this Medicare-for-all proposal have consistently used distorted and outright false information to scare the public with claims of outrageous cost estimates and higher taxes, when in fact, the net health care spending for California’s middle-income families could be reduced by as much as 9.1 percent of income and the State could save as much as $31 billion dollars over current spending, according to a report by the Political Economy Research Institute (PETI), University of Massachusetts, released in may 2017.
