Betty Hood: Yes on Measure W

Please vote yes on Measure W. It allows for growth of 12 plants — more than enough to control a potential pain. Growing more than 12 is just for the money for the grower.

It annoys the neighbors because of the large amount of water needed for growth, as well as for the skunk-like odor produced by the plants. Neighbors wanting to move away from the plants have difficulty finding buyers for their property — which decreases their value.

Let’s keep Nevada County from being invaded by marijuana growers. Vote yes on W.
