Audrey Ohlson Smith: The right to die on your own terms

Thank you for the “Other Voices” by Kent Treiber regarding the right to die. I, too, am very saddened by the inaction of the Legislature on SB 128.

Whatever the Catholic church believes (and why should that matter to the Legislature), the church has no right to deny anyone the ability to make their own choices about their own lives.

As a healthy 84-year-old who enjoys life, I want the right to make decisions about my own life. We all know we will die — the big question being “how?” I totally support the End of Life Option Act!
