Letter carriers food drive nets 12 tons

The 10th annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ food drive netted 12 tons of nonperishable food for the Food Bank of Nevada County Saturday.

Organizer and Food Bank board member Ken Taylor said the total beat last year’s record by nearly two tons, and has replenished the Food Bank’s storehouse.

“We’re really thankful to the community, the volunteers, the letter carriers and everyone for supporting us,” Taylor said.
