Let’s remove Saddam and not pick up the tab

Saddam must be removed before he commits a worse atrocity than was perpetrated on 9/11. He has some capabilities now and will gain more as time passes. When he secures full nuclear capability, it will be too late. Americans will likely die en masse. Our survival is at stake. Allowing Saddam to intimidate the U.S. and other nations until he can do serious harm is no longer an option.

Removing Saddam will most likely cause widespread damage to Iraq. Too bad. I do not want any tax dollars spent rebuilding Iraq or any other country ever again. It is money wasted. Where is it written that says the U.S. must spend billions to rebuild a hostile country that we just spent millions destroying? Were the U.S. defeated, does anyone really believe the victor would invest so much as a dime to rebuild here?

Where have we (U.S.) spent money (lots and lots of money) to rebuild a defeated country that is, today, a friend or ally? How many of these countries still owe the U.S. huge sums of money and will never repay a cent?
