Learn new skills

In response to the June 18 letter regarding the sign in the bookstore window, I suggest that the writer and owner of that bookstore learn some new skills. My daughter and I clearly saw the sign that was purportedly placed in your window by one of your customers. The sign said exactly what was reported by me to my husband.

No, we do not need to learn to read. Perhaps you should monitor more closely what goes up in your window. You, as owner of a bookstore, should learn to read, think and acquire some manners.

Yes, you have a right to your opinion because you live in freedom in the U.S.A., but to display a sign such as that is in very poor taste. Our friends and extended family find your remarks about my husband, family and our president extremely offensive. We find it unfortunate that a local business owner has shown such a lack of professionalism and class.
