Kudos – Rose family benefit

I was overwhelmed on Jan. 27 with the coming together of our community. I am referring to the Rose family benefit dinner, headed by the Pleasant Ridge Parents Club from Alta Sierra Elementary School. I understand there were 120 local businesses sponsoring tables or donating items. The Alta Sierra Country Club donated use of its facility, two chefs, and staff. Parents, teachers, firemen and Boy Scouts volunteered in a number of varying tasks. What an awesome event in which our children observed their parents, teachers, neighbors, and classmates coming together to help another.
