Kudos – Good Samaritans

Kudos to the wonderful people who made incredible efforts to rescue my dog, Jeb, who was stuck in a canyon below Highway 20 for two nights. Deep snow, sub-freezing temperatures and steep terrain made conditions extremely treacherous.

Heartfelt thanks to the three heroic young men who got him out: Jereme Richards of Rough and Ready, Chris Polcyn of Nevada City, and Jeremiah Henslee of Camptonville.

Deepest thanks also to KVMR, Arlene Winstead and Tim Mienar of Nevada County Animal Control, Patricia Ehlers with Disaster Response Team for Animals, Sheriff’s Volunteer Search and Rescue, and my wonderful friends.
