Those who helped ailing mother

I want to thank all of the people who kindly helped my mother, Mrs. Louise Weber, on Sept. 12, when she became ill in a local restaurant. Special appreciation is being extended to the nurse, whose name I could not find, who gave professional help and calmed distressed and sick Louise. Also, I am deeply grateful to the ambulance crew and emergency room staff of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for efficient and caring treatment which my mother received while in their care. Now, Mother is slowly regaining her strength and health, and for that I thank God and well-wishing people of our beautiful Grass Valley.

Forest Knolls

I would like to thank the neighborhood of Forest Knolls off of Banner for its warmth and generosity on Halloween. Every year, all the houses are decorated with lots of pumpkins and a little bit of spider webs. It is perfect for young children. They have created a Halloween such as I remember when I was young. It’s just dressing up and getting candy. Nothing is too scary or gory, and there are no connotations of Satan or paganism or devil worship. Thank you all.
