Logan appreciates support
From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank all those that have supported us in this time of sorrow and needs. Logan is fighting hard and has a long way to go. He is filled with spirit and all those that are upholding him in their prayers we feel the results. It is through your help with meals and donations that we have been able to stay at bedside, where we belong. Forever Grateful.

Thanks for the help
We would like to thank the gentlemen that stopped for our son at the accident to call 911. Also to North San Juan rescue, Grass Valley California Highway Patrol. Also to our son’s principal at Grizzly Hill School for his help. May God Bless You All.

Family returned wallet
Three-year-old Vincent Weiss of Lake Wildwood is wearing a “Junior Policeman” badge, proudly worn thanks to the honesty and community spirit of his parents, Mike and Dowruang Weiss, who have returned “my life” to me. In a recent storm, I left my wallet in a shopping cart, hurrying to get out of the rain. Mike and his little family found it, made several calls to my home, and delivered my wallet to the Police Department. Thank you from the bottom of my heart–I’ll never do that again, and do I have to sign my (stupid) name?
Thank you so much to Zoey and the staff and artists at Heart-n-Soul Tattoo and the Boozefighters. Their benefit party not only helped our agency but we had a blast. Thank you!

Public Law Center
Kudos to our Public Law Center.
I would like to commend Joan Connelly and the people who work at our Nevada County Public Law Center.
They have been so very helpful helping me to prepare and file legal forms since my husband’s death.
Their knowledge, commitment and attention to details have been extraordinary. They are a great asset to our community.
Helping our students
On behalf of our schools, I wish to thank the staff and owners of the local Sylvan Learning Center. As a true community partner, they offered a semester long intensive tutoring program for eight of our low achieving youth at no cost to the schools nor parents. They and so many other people and organizations exemplify why Nevada County is such a wonderful place for our youth.

Businesses come through
Once again our community-minded local merchants responded to the call and generously donated refreshments for the International Women’s Day Celebration on March 9, 2005. The United Nations Association Golden Empire Chapter and the Social Action Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains say a big Thank You to Cafe Mekka, Nevada City; Daddy’s Little Grill, Nevada City; Diegos, Grass Valley; India Oven, Grass Valley; Ralphs, Grass Valley; Raley’s, Grass Valley; and SPD Market, Nevada City for their thoughtful contributions, helping to make this a very successful event.
Our organizations are very grateful to you.
