Santa stopped at the Day house

Kudos to the County of Nevada Department of Housing and Community Services. Thanks to the above and Frank Marshall, Santa Claus made a much appreciated stop at the Day house.

It’s nice to know that all my years as a taxpaying citizen (60) has some perks, at a time when I can really use them.We are all in this together and everyone needs a helping hand sometime.

Thanks to Surgery Center staff

My meager words of praise and thanks to the SNMH outpatient Surgery Center staff – nurses, admitting, and Pink Ladies, seem inadequate compared to all of the wonderful care and compassion they put forth to my wife and myself during her recent two cataract surgeries. To everyone in the center, we offer our very deep and heartfelt thanks. You are all to be commended for such wonderful care and efficiency.

We are indeed grateful beyond words.

May God bless you all.

Altar Show volunteers praised

Producers and altaristas who participated in the 2002 Altar Show at the Fairgrounds last fall would like to thank all the volunteers and businesses who helped us.

We especially want to thank our visitors for all the wonderful notes left on the Community Altar and at individual altars. Some of us got together on New Year’s Day for the purpose of ceremoniously burning those magical little pieces of paper, and we felt very blessed to be part of something which touched so many hearts and elicited such generous thoughts and prayers for others and for the universe.
