Traffic unsnarlers are heroes

Many thanks to all the women and men who helped to unsnarl the cat’s ball of traffic on 174 and Rattlesnake on Dec. 19. What could have been an even nastier situation was calmed by their conviviality in the face of swirling snows and people in a hurry to get home. I especially want to thank the young woman in the white Toyota Corolla who pushed and shoved cars up the hill and then tried to help get my old Volvo up. You are all heroes!

Thanksgiving helpers praised

Thanks! To all my wonderful sharing friends that helped make our Thanksgiving gathering such a huge success: NSJ Fire auxiliary, Bigley’s Market, SPD, Sierra Energy, Natural Selections, Grocery Outlet, WOW Thrift & Gift, Toki’s, Tintle Inc., Moho band, Jack Shear, Bill & Millie Bishop, Lee Matthews, Kristina McCarty, neighbors who donated everything and lots of love. It was such a huge success, we are hoping for something at Easter. Thanks to The Union for the great coverage, informing people where to go for dinner, and Jocko Marconi for putting up with the chaos.
