Keep libraries going

A trip to the library used to be frustrating – old material, small staff, short library hours. Most folks figured that an extra eighth-of-a- cent in sales tax was a small price to pay for good libraries, so Measure B passed overwhelmingly in 1998.

Our libraries are transformed. They offer many new books, great support staff, extended library hours, interesting programs. Word is out – they’re full of visitors at any time of day. Now Measure C is asking that this funding be continued. Our libraries have become a great resource. They’re here for everyone. Let’s not lose them. Vote yes on Measure C.
