Keep county quiet – it’s why we moved here

Convention centers, parking garages, affordable housing. Get real. If we allow convention centers, parking garages, etc. We will lose our quiet caring community for something that will not resemble our Gold Rush heritage.

People will not walk to downtown. The shops are closed at 5 p.m. What’s to do? Who cares? The area is slowing being gobbled up by “fast food” shopping center, half empty at times. Healthy things for the youth that they can afford and enjoy – these things need attention now. If you don’t slow down and think, all the beautiful areas will be gone, and they can’t be brought back.

One answer? Put some non-violent people on parole to work, helping the community, instead of sitting around doing nothing. But of course we can’t can we? Civil rights and all that.

But please, people, slow down. If you don’t, we’ll have another Roseville. We moved here for the quiet life. We don’t want a crazy city.
