Just leave him out of this, please

After the happenings in the news these days, local people seem to be getting angry. I have overheard comments while in line at the bank, the store, or anywhere lately, about what “we” need to do this to win the war. Or “we” need to bomb these people. Then the racist jokes and slurs come out, and it’s a bunch of laughs.

That is not cool. Not all of the town feels the way you do, so do not say “we” when referring to bombing or killing. Instead, say “I.” “I wish to bomb people,” or better yet, “I am afraid of races I don’t have contact with, so I personally have problems.”

Thank you for no longer including me.
