Joe Cain’s beginnings clarified

As one of the original Joe Cain Society members, I would like to inform Ruth Poulter as to the beginnings of the Nevada City Joe Cain party. It was founded in a bar to brighten up an otherwise dreary February. The focus was around hurricane drinks, Cajun food and an adult Mardi Gras atmosphere. The current Society and Chamber have publicized and promoted the event to a level beyond the ability of bars or the city to control it.

May I also suggest providing portable toilets next year?
