Jim Adams knows about schools
Our county has a long history of outstanding schools. For years our schools have been a huge draw for families deciding to relocate to our community and raise their families here.
For the 30 years my wife and I have lived in Nevada County, we, too have been very proud of and supportive of our local schools. From pre-school through high school, Robin and I have been extremely involved in our children’s activities, educational programs, and school issues.
Because of our deep involvement in the local schools, I believe I have a very good sense of the needs, requirements, duties, and qualities that a school board trustee must possess to fulfill the responsibilities that are necessary for such a dignified position.
Jim Adams is the person who absolutely has the qualities necessary for the Nevada Joint Union High School Board trustee. I’ve known Jim and his family from the day they decided to call Nevada County home. Jim and Nancy have raised four wonderful children and continue to be involved in our schools. One of their children is a Nevada Union graduate and valedictorian. Their youngest is a sophomore at NU.
Immediately upon becoming a Nevada County resident, Jim immersed himself in this community. He is an active Rotarian, has served on the board of the United Way of Nevada County, is an advisor to the Interact Club at Nevada Union, volunteers as an announcer for Touchdown Productions, and is an active member of Twin Cities Church. Jim is also a successful business man and serves as a regional vice president for the Ray Morgan Company. Throughout Jim’s career he has been extremely involved in leadership positions. This has provided him the opportunity to learn the valuable lessons of team management and financial management. Jim’s heart has always been directed toward helping, supporting, and leading the youth.
Jim’s honesty, integrity, and work ethic will without a doubt benefit the students, administration, and our community. Please join me in helping elect Jim Adams as Area 2 Nevada Joint Union High School Board Trustee.
Mike Bratton is a local businessman, volunteer and longtime advocate for Nevada Union High School.
