Izzy runs roughshod over voters

It’s not a question of NH 2020 being good or bad

Maybe I’ve been missing the point about this whole NH 2020 hoopla. We have been inundated with pros and cons, buts and re-buts, accusers and defenders, and so on and so on. I can’t really tell you whether NH 2020 is bad or good for Nevada County.

It probably has some good points and some bad points. But one thing I do know about is how our present BOS has shoved it down our collective throats. At least, I do not recall receiving so much as an opinion survey from our District 4 supe, Ms. Martin. She didn’t call and ask what I thought. But she did call and ask for my vote recently. All of her supporters claim she is the greatest supervisor they’ve ever seen, but the last time I checked, we have a representative form of county government. So why are four of our supes running roughshod over us like dictators?

Ms. Martin is now claiming that she is responsible for putting it on the November ballot, but the horse has already left the barn. My question is simply, if she supports putting it on the next ballot, why wasn’t it on the last one? I’ll admit she’s a good politician, but maybe not for Nevada County. I hear they like her type in Humboldt County. Let’s support Robin; at least she’ll ask for your input.
