Izzy cares about our water and our pocketbooks

I am glad Izzy Martin and Bruce Conklin voted to restrict the county’s use of Round-Up (herbicide) around our waterways.

But if we look at the chemical description of laundry , bathing and personal grooming products that go down our drains, it’s no surprise at least one of our post-sewage treatment plant creeks routinely reeks of artificial scent. We would pay dearly for plants that could neutralize each chemical. Wouldn’t it be better not to put them in the sewer to begin with? I’m voting for Izzy Martin for her demonstrated concern for our waterways as well as our pocketbooks.
